At Economy Metal Works, among the many products that we take pride in manufacturing for a variety of satisfied customers in the petrochemical, power generation, construction and other industries are coated louvers, which we custom manufacture from stainless steel, galvanized, aluminum, and carbon steel, and which can be coated at the customer’s option in a variety of ways.

Coated Louvers Options
Common coatings that might be applied to louvers per a customer’s request include powder coatings. A powder coating is basically a paint made from finely ground solid resins. Its advantages include its fast curing, flexibility, and resistance to cracking, peeling or chipping.
Powder coated louvers have excellent corrosion resistance. Another advantage of powder coatings is their availability in a variety of colors, giving the louvers an attractive finish of the customer’s choosing.
Alternatively, a customer might prefer the finish provided by more conventional painting, and this can be done for your louvers per your specification. This includes rust preventative or anti-corrosion paints in a range of colors.
Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
Coated Louvers Types
While your louver is custom manufactured to fit your requirements, here are some general and standard kinds of louvers that EMW can manufacture and which can be coated according to your specifications:
- Coated Architectural / Decorative Louvers: Sometimes functional, sometimes just for looks, EMW can make them in just about any shape or size.
- Coated Gable Louvers: For venting and exhaust of attic spaces, or for appearances, EMW can custom manufacture your gable louvers.
- Coated Stamped Louvers: For ventilation of an enclosure, door or anything else, EMW can supply custom stamped louvers in almost any configuration or size.
- Heavy Duty Coated Louvers: For tough environments, like oilrigs on the open sea, EMW has the expertise and experience to manufacture heavy-duty louvers for the job.

EMW’s custom precision metal fabrication capabilities make us particularly well suited to provide louvers, coated to your specifications, that perfectly fit and complement the environment in which they will be used. Just about any size and shape of louver is within our capacity to manufacture.
We manufacture our louvers, like all of our products, in mild carbon steel, 304 & 316 stainless steel, galvanized or aluminum.
Louvers Formed to Fit Your Requirements
Our louvers are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to manufacture a unique louver product that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the manufacture of louvers that meet close tolerances.
EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the manufacture of louvers and a vast range of other products. These capabilities include:
- CAD/CAM Design and Programming
- CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 3/8" aluminum, 1/4" carbon steel and 3/16 stainless steel
- MIG and TIG welding all alloys
- Structural fabrication, including skids, rails, ladders, enclosures, stairs, stands and more
- CNC punching up to 1/4" plate
- Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
- 12' press brakes up to 350 ton with CNC back gauging
- Rolling up to 1/8" x 5' long
- Precision waterjet cutting with a 12'x12' working envelope
We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. In order that the customer receives the proper coating for their exact application all specifications must come from and be approved by the customer prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
