Industrial louvers are one of the many products that Economy Metal Works (a custom precision metal fabricator) commonly produces for a range of satisfied customers in the construction, petrochemical, power generation and other industries. At EMW we take pride in our flexibility and diversification in both services and products, so heavy-duty louvers are just one of the many variations in the type of louver that we are happy to produce. From prototype to production, EMW is equipped to deliver the custom manufactured heavy-duty louvers that your application demands.
What Are Heavy Duty Louvers?
Our heavy-duty louvers are reinforced versions of standard louvers. Like everything we do at EMW, our heavy-duty louvers are custom manufactured to the customer’s requirements, so the degree of strength and reinforcement is based upon your needs and specifications, and we are happy to work with you to achieve the best result.
A louver is basically an assembly of slanted blades (also known as plates or fins) designed to permit a flow of air while deflecting things as objects, dirt, or wind-driven water. Heavy-duty louvers would be reinforced for tough duty, where high velocities of air are expected. They might have to stand up to flying objects, or be able to absorb occasional impacts from heavy equipment passing by.
We can manufacture heavy-duty louvers, like all of our products, in mild carbon steel, 304 & 316 stainless steel, galvanized and aluminum (3000, 5000 and 6000 series). A variety of finishing options are available.
Our Heavy Duty Louvers Are Formed to Fit Your Requirements
Our heavy duty-louvers are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to manufacture a unique louver product that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the manufacture of a heavy-duty louver that meets close tolerances.
EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the manufacture of heavy duty louvers and a vast range of other products. These capabilities include:
- CAD/CAM Design and Programming
- CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 1/4" carbon steel, 3/8" aluminum, and 3/16 stainless steel
- MIG and TIG welding all alloys
- CNC punching up to 1/4" plate
- Rolling up to 1/4" x 8 ft. long, and 3/8" x 6 ft. long
- Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
- 12ft. press brakes up to 350 ton with CNC back gauging
- Structural fabrication (Skids, enclosures, rails, ladders, stairs, stands and more)
- Waterjet precision cutting with a 12ft.x12ft working envelope
We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. In order that the customer receives the proper coating for their exact application all specifications must come from and be approved by the customer prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
Whether you have CAD drawings ready or just verbal instructions to provide, you can be confident that EMW has the experience, know-how and determination to follow-through on your project and manufacture a custom heavy-duty louver that will fit your application.
