At Economy Metal Works, we take pride in manufacturing custom galvanized louvers for a variety of satisfied customers in the petrochemical, power generation, construction and other industries. Why Galvanized Louvers?

Our galvanized louvers can be both an economical and effective choice for many applications. Galvanized steel (steel which is coated with a layer of zinc) is corrosion resistant and should remain rust free for decades. Therefore, galvanized louvers will not require the same degree of maintenance as regular steel components and can stand harsher environments.

In particular, galvanized louvers are weather resistant, making them suitable for exterior exposure. The zinc alloy coating on galvanized steel is also both abrasion and impact resistant, and harder than the base steel. Galvanized louvers are stronger than their aluminum counterparts.

On the other hand, galvanized louvers, while resistant to oxidation for many years, will ultimately rust over time, which might be a factor in your application. The particular environment in which the galvanized louvers will exist can be considered.

Galvanized Louver Types

• Galvanized Architectural / Decorative Louvers: Sometimes functional, sometimes just for looks, EMW can make them in just about any shape or size.
• Galvanized Gable Louvers: For venting and exhaust of attic spaces, or for appearances, EMW can manufacture your gable custom louvers.
• Galvanized Stamped Louvers: For ventilation of an enclosure, door or anything else, EMW can supply stamped louvers in almost any configuration or size.
• Heavy Duty Galvanized Louvers: For tough environments, like oil-rigs on the open sea, EMW has the expertise and experience to manufacture heavy-duty louvers for the job.

EMW’s custom precision metal fabrication capabilities make us particularly well suited to manufacture galvanized louvers that perfectly fit and complement the environment in which they will be used. Just about any size and shape of louver is within our capacity to manufacture.

We can also manufacture our louvers, like all of our products, in aluminum and in galvanized steel. A variety of finishing options are also available if needed.

Galvanized Louvers Formed to Fit Your Requirements

Our galvanized louvers are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to manufacture a unique louver product that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the manufacture of stainless and carbon steel louvers that meet close tolerances.

EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the manufacture of galvanized louvers and a vast range of other products. These capabilities include:

• Rolling up to 1/4" x 8' long
• Water jet precision cutting with a 12'x12' working envelope and dual cutting heads
• CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 1/4" carbon steel, 3/8" aluminum and 3/16" stainless steel
• Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
• 12' press brakes up to 350 tons with CNC back gauging
• CAD/CAM design and programming
• MIG and TIG welding of all alloys (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW certified welders and welding to ASME Sec. IX & AWS D1.1 code)
• CNC punching up to 1/4" plate

We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. To ensure that our customers receive the proper coatings for their applications, we require the customer's approval on their specifications prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
