Why a Galvanized Enclosure?
Galvanized steel enclosures can be both an economical and effective choice for many applications. Galvanized steel (steel which is coated with a layer of zinc) is corrosion resistant and should remain rust free for decades. Therefore, galvanized enclosures will not require the same degree of maintenance as regular steel components and can stand harsher environments.
In particular, galvanized steel has excellent weather resistance, making it suitable for exterior exposure. The zinc alloy coating on galvanized steel is also both abrasion and impact resistant, and harder than the base steel. Galvanized steel louvers are stronger than their aluminum counterparts.
On the other hand, galvanized steel, while resistant to oxidation for many years, will ultimately rust over time, which might be a factor in your application. The particular environment in which the galvanized enclosure will exist can be considered.

EMW can custom configure your enclosure, in terms of cutout patterns, doors, louvers, dampers, baffles, mounting options, benches, shelves, sub-panels, rails and just about any special requirement you may have.
In addition to galvanized, we can manufacture enclosures, like all of our products, in mild carbon steel, stainless steel (304 and 316), and aluminum. A variety of finishing options are available where needed.
Galvanized Enclosures Formed to Fit Your Requirements
Our galvanized enclosures are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to manufacture a unique enclosure product that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the manufacture of a custom galvanized enclosures that meets close tolerances.
EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the manufacture of custom galvanized enclosures and a vast range of other products. These capabilities include:

- CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 1/4" carbon steel, 3/8" aluminum, 3/16 stainless steel
- CNC punching up to 1/4" plate
- 12ft. press brakes up to 350 ton with CNC back gauging
- Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
- Mig and tig welding all alloys
- Rolling up to 1/4" x 8 ft. long, and 3/8" x 6 ft. long
- Structural Fabrication (Skids, enclosures, rails, ladders, stairs, stands and more)
- Water Jet precision cutting with a 12ft.x12ft working envelope
We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. In order that the customer receives the proper coating for their exact application all specifications must come from and be approved by the customer prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
