Industries we have fabricated dampers for include the petrochemical, power generation and construction industries. Diversification is a word that defines us here at EMW and we stand eager to meet your particular and special need for custom fabricated dampers.
What are Dampers?
At the most basic level, industrial dampers are adjustable plate, or assembly of plates, which is used to control or to alternately block and allow a draft or an air-flow; for example, in a duct or chimney. Industrial dampers may be manually operated simply by means of adjusting a handle emanating from a duct. A damper may be used only in either a “fully-on” or a “fully-off” role. Alternatively, the dampers may be controlled by means of a motor or solenoid, and the degree of air-flow calibrated, perhaps according to signals from a thermostat going to the actuator of the damper in order to modulate the flow of air-conditioned air in order to effect climate control.
by type
Motorized Dampers
Formed precisely to fit your specific requirements, delivered in a timely fashion and at a competitive price, with a matchless standard of quality.
Backdraft Dampers
Industries we have fabricated Backdraft Dampers for include the petrochemical, power generation and construction industries.
Manually Operated Damper
A damper whose blades are opened, closed or adjusted to an intermediate position through the manual movement of an actuator.
Opposed Blade Damper
An opposed blade damper is a damper whose blades rotate in an opposing direction when opening or when closing.
Heavy Duty Dampers
A heavy-duty damper is a damper similar to other designs but where the blades are specially reinforced to provide additional strength and rigidity.
Custom Dampers
A large range of sizes and shapes, and in materials including mild steel, galvanized, aluminum or stainless steel.
by materials
Stainless Steel Dampers
304 stainless steel alloy, as well as the tough and more corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel alloy in the fabrication of our dampers and other products.
Aluminum Dampers
Aluminum dampers will be light and durable and yet with aluminum’s high strength to weight ratio they will still offer sufficient strength for many applications.
Galvanized Dampers
Excellent weather resistance, making it suitable for exterior exposure. Galvanized dampers are stronger than their aluminum counterparts.
