custom enclosuresAt Economy Metal Works, all of our enclosures are custom enclosures, because all of our fabrication work is custom. We take pride in manufacturing custom enclosures for a variety of satisfied customers in the petrochemical, power generation, construction and other industries.

We are a custom precision metal fabricator whose guiding lights are diversification and flexibility, so you can be sure we stand ready to tackle your custom enclosure project – from prototype to production. From small control boxes used on offshore oilrigs, to hydraulic reservoirs and enclosures for large portable gas turbines, EMW can custom form and fabricate an enclosure for just about any application or environment.

We custom fabricate enclosures and all of our products in 304 and 316 stainless steel, galvanized, aluminum, and carbon steel.

Types of Custom Enclosures

While your custom enclosure can be fabricated to fit your requirements, here are some general and standard kinds of enclosures that EMW can fabricate:

EMW's custom precision metal fabrication capabilities make us particularly well suited to manufacture custom enclosures that perfectly fit your needs and are suited to the environment in which they will be used. Just about any size and shape of custom enclosure is within our capacity to fabricate.

EMW can custom configure your enclosure, in terms of cutout patterns, doors, enclosures, dampers, baffles, mounting options, benches, shelves, sub-panels, rails and just about any special requirement you may have.

We can fabricate custom enclosures, like all of our products, in mild carbon steel, stainless steel (304 and 316), galvanized and aluminum (3000, 5000 and 6000 series aluminum). A variety of finishing options are available where needed.

Enclosures Formed to Fit Your Requirements

Our custom enclosures are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to fabricate a unique enclosure product that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the fabrication of a custom enclosure that meets close tolerances.

EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the fabrication of custom enclosures and a vast range of other products. These capabilities include:

  • Water jet precision cutting with a 12'x12' working envelope and dual cutting heads
  • 12' press brakes up to 350 tons with CNC back gauging
  • CAD/CAM design and programming
  • Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
  • MIG and TIG welding of all alloys (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW certified welders and welding to ASME Sec. IX & AWS D1.1 code)
  • CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 1/4" carbon steel, 3/8" aluminum and 3/16" stainless steel
  • Rolling up to 1/4" x 8' long
  • CNC punching up to 1/4" plate

We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. To ensure that our customers receive the proper coatings for their applications, we require the customer's approval on their specifications prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
