Acoustic Enclosures / Turbine Enclosures

Sound attenuation for gas turbines, as well as for other industrial machinery, is an important issue in today’s workplace, for reasons of worker safety and comfort, and to comply with OSHA regulations on noise reduction.

To deal with your sound attenuation issues, EMW does not provide a one-size-fits-all solution, or even a choice of three or four. Instead, we can custom manufacture a sound attenuating (aka acoustical) turbine enclosure that fits your space and fits your needs to a tee. From the materials used, to the size, configuration and finish, EMW can custom manufacture a sound attenuating/turbine enclosure that meets your requirements.

EMW can custom configure your enclosure, in terms of cutout patterns, doors, louvers, dampers, baffles, mounting options, benches, shelves, sub-panels, rails and just about any special requirement you may have. For coated enclosures, a variety of finishing options are also available when needed.

EMW’s custom fabricated sound attenuating or acoustical turbine enclosures can also be made to conform to a wide variety of NEMA ratings, as your specifications require.

Flexibility and diversification are just standard operating procedure here at EMW. We can manufacture our sound attenuating/turbine enclosures, like all of our products, in mild carbon steel, stainless steel (304 and 316), and aluminum (Series 3000, 5000 and 6000). Turbine Enclosures Formed to Fit Your Requirements

Our enclosures are created through a metal forming process (not through a metal extrusion process), which gives us the flexibility required to fabricate a unique enclosure that fits the requirements of each customer’s application. EMW’s metal forming process also allows for the fabrication of sound attenuating / turbine enclosures that meet close tolerances.

EMW is a full service metal fabricator offering a wide range of capabilities in the manufacture of stainless steel dampers and other products. These capabilities include:

• Water jet precision cutting with a 12'x12' working envelope and dual cutting heads
• Saw, torch, and plasma cutting
• CAD/CAM design and programming
• Rolling up to 1/4" x 8' long
• 12' press brakes up to 350 tons with CNC back gauging
• MIG and TIG welding of all alloys (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW certified welders and welding to ASME Sec. IX & AWS D1.1 code)
• CNC precision shearing up to 12 ft. in 1/4" carbon steel, 3/8" aluminum and 3/16" stainless steel
• CNC punching up to 1/4" plate

We have finishing options (powder coat or wet paint) available when needed. Although we are not paint experts by trade or claim to be, we do offer coating/application services through outside sources. All coating will be at the customer's request and specification. To ensure that our customers receive the proper coatings for their applications, we require the customer's approval on their specifications prior to coating. EMW does not make coating recommendations for any application. Essentially, you tell us the kind of coating or finish you need or prefer and we will make sure that coating or finish is applied properly.
